Fil-Aussie singer Cyrus Villanueva makes top 7 in 'X-Factor Australia'
MANILA, Philippines – Filipino Cyrus Villanueva is part of the Top 7 on X-Factor Australia.
The 19-year-old singer sang "It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over" by Lenny Kravitz during the Top 8 Live Show, earning him the votes that put him in the Top 7.
Cyrus tweeted this after his performance, encouraging people to vote for him if they liked it:
The guy group In Stereo was booted off the show after the Top 8 live shows, leaving Cyrus competing against Natalie Conway, Louise Adams, Mahalia Simpson, Michaela Baranov, Jess & Matt, and Big T.
Cyrus first wowed judges Guy Sebastian, Dannii Minogue, James Blunt, and Chris Isaak, and X-Factor Australia audiences with his audition, where he crooned The Weeknd's "Earned It."
Cyrus' consistently kept up his smooth performances throughout the season. Here he is singing Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" for the first Live Show.
Now in its 7th season, X-Factor Australia is hosted by Luke Jacobz. Filipino Marlisa Punzalan won the 2014 season of X-Factor Australia.
