WATCH: Mulder, Scully get another case in new ‘X-Files’ teaser
'We've been given another case Mulder. It has a monster in it.'

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – A new teaser for The X-Files has been released on October 30, following the one that was released on October 27.

The slightly longer new trailer starts off with a voiced-over question: “We must ask ourselves, are we truly alone, or are we being lied to?” After a series of flashes to the aliens that the show has lined up for the season, we get glimpses Scully and Mulder running through hallways with flashlights.

These creepy new teasers are for the show’s first season in 13 years, and come just in time for Halloween.

“We’ve been given another case Mulder,” says Agent Scully on the phone in the video above. “It has a monster in it.”

True enough, the trailer is chock-full of monsters that will give you chills – even for just the few seconds that they’re flashed on the screen. “When has that ever stopped us before?” answers Mulder.

According to this new trailer’s video description, the upcoming 6-episode season will kick off with the two FBI agents “taking on a case of a possible alien abductee.” The next few episodes will be a mix of stand-alone episodes and “those that further the original show’s seminal mythology.”

This new season of the X-Files will air on January 24, 2016 in the US, and it will star the original actors who played Mulder and Scully, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

Aside from David and Gillian, you can also look forward to the show’s lineup of guest stars, with Joel McHale, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Annabeth Gish, Annet Mahendru, Rhys Darby, Kumail Nanjiani, and William B. Davis.

Three of the episodes are directed by the show’s creator/executive producer Chris Carter, and the rest will be directed by original series veterans Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan and James Wong.
