2016: The year in celebrity weddings
MANILA, Philippines – Another year is drawing to a close, and with it, we look back on some heartfelt and beautiful celebrity weddings this year.
We'll be looking for the 2017 weddings too, as stars like Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff, and Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia, got engaged just this December.
Here are some of the stars who got married this year.
Stunning Cristine Reyes married MMA fighter Ali Khatibi in a small and intimate wedding ceremony in beautiful Balesin Island last January 27. The couple has a daughter, Amarah, born February 2015.

Vic and Pauleen got married last January 30 in an evening ceremony in Alabang. Vic visibly teared up as the couple listened to the priest's words. Later, Vic told Pauleen:
"Sanay lang ako sa mga jowa lang. Mga syotitay, mga fling. Pero masarap pala sabihin yung asawa ko," he said. (I'm just used to having a girlfriend, fling. But it's good to say my wife.)

Georgina married Englishman Arthur Burnand on April 30 in the UK; the day before, she announced her engagement. Though they started dating in 2015, Georgina had actually known Arthur, a family friend, for years (more on their love story here). Arthur proposed in Winchester, his hometown – the same place where the couple got married. The couple later announced they were expecting a baby.

Theater actress and singer Cris Villonco married businessman Paolo Valderrama on April 30 at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish, Makati. Christian Bautista, Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworksi, Rachel Alejandro, Ciara Sotto, Franco Laurel, and Ayen Munji-Laurel were among the wedding guests.
Beautiful lines: "It is the best day because I know we continue we fight, and love each other, no ifs and buts. And in the end, you've got me. I got you. That you love me, no matter what. And for that, I thank you." – Cris, reading a message for Paolo the night before the wedding
Rima Ostwani and Jay Najjar
Model Rima Ostwani and Jay Najjar wed earlier this year at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish in Makati City. They are currently expecting their first child.
Seven years after their wedding, actress Judy Ann Santos and TV host Ryan Agoncillo renewed their vows before family and friends in a solemn beach ceremony in Batangas last April 30. Among the guests present at the renewal of vows were actress Iza Calzado and boyfriend Ben Wintle, KC Concepcion, and Agot Isidro.
Taekwondo athlete and commercial model Japoy Lizardo and coach Janice Lagman married on May 8 in Tagaytay.
Weeks after pal Georgina Wilson wed in April, Solenn Heussaff married longtime love Nico Bolzico in France in May. Their wedding video from Jason Magbanua shows part of a sweet and emotional ceremony, and the super fun party that followed.

Alyanna Martinez and Roy Macam
Alyanna Martinez, stylist and also the daughter of actor Albert Martinez and the late actress Liezl Martinez, married photographer Roy Macam in San Francisco last August.
Belle and Adrien wed in a solemn ceremony in Italy on September 10. Pals Solenn Heussaff, Georgina Wilson, Anne Curtis, Tim Yap, and more were in attendance.
Beautiful lines: Adrien to Belle: "The first time I saw you, my heart whispered, 'She's the one.'"
Cristalle Belo Henares and Australian businessman Justin Pitt were married for the second time on in September, one week after their civil ceremony at the Manila Peninsula Hotel.

She dazzles me when she steps onstage or she steps in front of a camera and this beautiful persona comes out, and my mouth just drops. She is my source of joy, she is my source of happiness. Former sexy actress Francine Prieto married Frank Shotkoski in Casa Mariantonia, Capri, Italy. The couple got engaged last October 2015.
Actress and comedian Rufa Mae Quinto and Trevor Magallanes tied the knot on November 25. Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista officiated the wedding.

Karel Marquez and Sean Fariñas

Karel and Sean married on December 1 at the Santuario de San Antonio Church in Forbes Park, Makati. Karel and Sean were together for almost 4 years before they wed.

Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo married in Cebu on Deceber 9, and were joined by their family and friends, including those from the showbiz world, like Camille Prats, John Prats, Isabl Oli, and Jason Abalos.

Rosanna Roces and Blessy Arias married on December 10 in a ceremony witnessed by some of Rosanna's close friends from showbiz. The wedding, held at Alexa's Secret Garden in Antipolo City, was officiated by Reverend Cresencio Agbayani of the LGBTS Christian Church.
Beautiful lines: We have yet to see a video from the nuptials, but here is Rosanna talking about Blessy earlier in the year, when she announced plans to marry. "Parang may something missing [before]. So ayun, nakita ko na iyong something missing." (It was like something was missing.So there, I've found what was missing.)
Maricris Garcia and TJ Cruz
Former La Diva singer Maricris Garcia married her longtime boyfriend TJ Cruz last December 16 at the San Antonio de Padua church. Among those who were present were Aicelle Santos, Jaya, and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.
