LOOK: Ryan Reynolds gives out sisig chimichangas to fans

Several promotional stunts were set up in time for the film’s opening (February 10 in Manila). During the Super Bowl weekend, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds was spotted giving away free sisig chimichangas from food truck Señor Sisig on Friday night, February 5 (Saturday, February 6 in Manila). He was with his castmate TJ Miller, who plays his character’s best friend, Weasel

In an episode of the entertainment TV show Extra, Reynolds and Miller took over the Señor Sisig food truck in San Francisco, USA, which serves a fusion of the popular Filipino happy hour snack (or pulutan in Filipino) and Mexican taqueria dishes. One of the food truck’s specialties is their take on the chimichanga, a deep-fried burrito.

 

Reynolds even insisted at one point to do away with the limit of 1 free chimichanga per guest, and do his job Oprah-style:

The Señor Sisig food truck is owned by Filipino-American entrepreneurs Evan Kidera and Gil Payumo. Their venture was inspired by an heirloom recipe of Payumo’s father from Pampanga. – Rappler.com
