Filmmaker Francis Xavier Pasion dies
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Director Francis Xavier Pasion, known for his independent films Jay and Bwaya, was found dead on Sunday, March 6. He was 38.
According to a report from the Inquirer, lawyer Joji Alonso said that the director was found dead in his Quezon City home.
The news of his death was confirmed by director Antoinette Jadaone in a text message to Rappler. Antoinette worked with Francis on the show On The Wings of Love.

According to a report from Umagang Kay Ganda, Francis’ brother Michael confirmed that the director died due to cardiac arrest, based on the autopsy report of the Philippine National Police.
Francis is known for working on the independent films Jay (2008) and Bwaya, which won Best Film under the New Breed category in the 2014 Cinemalaya Film Festival.
Francis also worked on a number of TV shows for ABS-CBN, including My Binondo Girl, Dyesebel, and the recent JaDine hit show On the Wings of Love. – Rappler.com
