WATCH: Jennifer Aniston reacts to Jake Gyllenhaal’s crush on her

MANILA, Philippines – They co-starred in the film The Good Girl in 2002, but Jennifer Aniston just found out that Jake Gyllenhaal had a crush on her.

In an interview with People magazine and Entertainment Weekly‘s Jess Cagle, Jake was asked to say the first thing that came to his mind when his former co-stars were mentioned.

When Jess brought up Jennifer, Jake said, “She’s a rough one. You know, not likable, so hard to compliment. I will say, have had – had a crush on her for years. And working with her was not easy.”

Jake added, “It was lovely. It wasn’t hard, that’s what I would say.”

When Jess asked if the crush developed because of Friends, the sitcom Jennifer was a part of, Jake said, “Not so much Friends, but like, kind of just her personality from afar and movies she was in and then some of Friends. I’m not a huge Friends fan, but just who she is.”

In a separate interview a few days later, Access Hollywood told Jennifer about what Jake said.

Her reaction: “Well I just don’t know why we’re finding this out now.”

When asked whether things would have gone differently had she known about it Jen answered, “I don’t know!” adding, “He likes the older ladies.”

“He hid it [his crush] well,” said Jennifer. Her Mother’s Day co-star, Jason Sudeikis, with whom she was being interviewed, declared it “his greatest acting.”
