WATCH: Maisie Williams pranks ‘Game of Thrones’ fans as a shop clerk
Maisie Williams, aka Arya Stark, pranks unsuspecting customers at a Los Angeles game store and gives away free 'Game of Thrones' merch

MANILA, Philippines – What if the star of your favorite TV show popped by your local store, and actually manned the cash the register for quite some time?

Maisie Williams, aka Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, did that at game store Aero Hobbies in Los Angeles, as a video feature for Nylon magazine where she’s the cover girl for the May issue. She even gave away free goodies from the show – much to the delight of passing customers.

A sign announced the giveaways, but customers were surprised to be cheerily greeted by Maisie, who went by the ineffective guise of shop clerk “Lorraine.” They recognize her as Arya, and she jokes, “I get this all the time. It’s kind of really awkward.”

The swag isn’t really free, though, as Maisie proposed a condition. “You have to do something first. You have to act out a scene from this… Game of Thrones,” she says, feigning ignorance about her own show.

One lady, for example, reenacts Cersei Lannister’s Walk of Atonement from season 5. Maisie steps in as Septa Unella, pretending to ring a bell, announcing “Shame. Shame. Shame.”
