Jasmine Curtis-Smith confirms she’s in a new relationship

MANILA, Philippines – Jasmine Curtis-Smith confirmed that she has a new special someone in her life: surfer Jeff Ortega.

“Oo (Yes),” Jasmine replied when Vice Ganda asked her if she and Jeff were a couple during an appearance on Gandang Gabi Vice, Sunday, April 24. Her sister, Anne Curtis was with her during the interview.

When Vice asked what Anne felt about Jeff, the actress said, “Oo, masaya ako. Mabait talaga.” (Yes, I’m very happy for her. He’s very nice.)

“Parang nakikilala ko na siya before pa (It’s like I’ve met him before),” she said. “Tapos mabait siya (He’s very nice.)”

According to Anne, Jeff not only wooed Jasmine but also the whole family. “Nakikita ko kung paano siya um-effort kay Daddy, kay Mommy, kay Balong [Tom Curtis-Smith]… cute,” she said.

According to his profile on the La Union Surf School website, Jeff is a certified level 1 surfing instructor. He is a member of the Ortega clan, a political family in the province of La Union, Pangasinan.

Jasmine and Jeff were speculated to be in a relationship as early as February when a photo of them surfaced on Instagram.

Jasmine previously dated singer and actor Sam Concepcion but broke up last year. It was reported that Anne did not take a liking to Sam and confronted him at a birthday party in 2014. (READ: Sam Concepcion says all’s well with Anne Curtis)

Jasmine was also linked to presidential candidate senator Grace Poe’s son Brian Llamazares, who surprised her with flowers during a press conference for My Fair Lady last year. – Rappler.com
