WATCH: Lea ‘mini-me’ Esang returns, performs on ‘The Voice Kids PH’

MANILA, Philippines – The Voice Kids finalist Esang de Torres returned to The Voice Kids stage 3 on Saturday, May 28 to help her mentor Lea Salonga to convince a kid to be part of her team.

When Lea asked Esang to come on stage to convince 7-year-old Yessha to join in Lea’s team, she began by narrating her experience after the competition. Esang shared that through Lea, she was able to audition as an alternate for the role of Little Cosette in the recent run of Les Miserables in Manila. “Nasa Les Miserables po ako. At dahil iyon kay Mommy Lea Salonga. Kasi tinuruan niya ako paano mag-audition sa theater,” Esang said.

( I’m part of Les Miserables. And that was because of Mommy Lea Salonga. She taught me how to audition for theater.)

Esang also gave a short performance of the song “Castle on a Cloud.” Catch her singing at around the 4: 24 mark in the video above.

“Hindi lang siya magaling magturo, sexy pa! (She’s not only good in teaching, she’s also sexy!)” Esang said of her coach.

In the end Yessha, who performed “Saan Darating Ang Umaga” chose Lea, making her the first kid under Lea’s team. 

Esang is scheduled to join the cast of Les Miserables  in Singapore for production’s Asian tour. – Rappler.com
