MANILA, Philippines – The original cast of drama series Mara Clara recently got together again, more than 2 decades after the show first aired on television in 1992.

Gladys Reyes, who played Clara in the show, posted photos of their reunion including a photo of her and actress Judy Ann Santos, who played Mara in the show.

Wowie de Guzman, Christopher Roxas, Paolo Contis, Eagle, Juan Rodrigo, and Susan Africa were also present at the party.

Mara Clara follows the story of two children switched at birth. Mara grew up being poor but was a kindhearted daughter, while Clara, on the other hand, was rich and spoiled.

The show is considered as one of the most popular television series to air on Philippine TV. It ran for 5 years.

A film adaptation was made in 1996, and a new series was made in 2010 starring Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes. – Rappler.com
