WATCH: Backstreet Boys, Meghan Trainor team up for ‘I Want It That Way’

MANILA, Philippines – It was rare treat for fans of the Backstreet Boys as the group teamed up with singer Meghan Trainor to perform one of their best-known hits “I Want It That Way” during ABC’s Greatest Hits show Thursday, July 7.

Prior to the performance, Meghan, who is a fan of the group, said Brian Littrell was an old crush of hers. 

“My pop star crush was Brian. I was going to marry him and my mom was going to marry him. That was our husband,” Meghan said. “And the day he got married I remember like we were, ‘noo!'”

Meghan also said she was finally going to live the “dream of being in a boy group.”

Meanwhile, Nick Carter said of Meghan: “She’s so talented. Number one, a great writer, fantastic singer, great voice and we realized, she’s a fan of ours as well which blows us away.” 

The boys also sang Meghan’s hit “All About That Bass” backstage: 

And after the show, the boys posted this thank you message for Meghan.

Aside from “I Want It That Way, the Backstreet Boys also performed “Everybody” during their Greatest Hits appearance.
