Jessy Mendiola speaks up on Luis Manzano, Angel Locsin breakup

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Jessy Mendiola reacted to Angel Locsin’s statement regarding her relationship between her and Luis Manzano, Angel’s ex-boyfriend.

Jessy and Luis had admitted that they are “going out.” 

In an interview with ABS-CBN, Jessy insisted that she never was the reason of the breakup of Luis and Angel.

“Honestly, if it were true, I wouldn’t be here right now facing you guys” Jessy said of the issue.

“For me, it was clear that they broke up already when Luis started courting me. And babae ako (I’m a girl), it happened to me before. I wouldn’t do that to any other girl.”

“It hurts pag sinasabi nila na – for a lack of better term – ‘ahas’ ka. Wala lang, kasi labas ako sa kanila and what happened between the two of them.

(It hurts when people say – for lack of a better term – ‘you’re a snake.’ Nothing, because I’m not involved in their problem and what happened between the two of them.)

“So yung amin, I think dapat labas na rin siya doon. Para sa akin, malinis ang konsensya ko. Malinis ang puso ko. I would never ever destroy a relationship,” Jessy said.

(What’s between us, I think she’s out of it. My conscience is clear. My heart is clean.)

Jessy also said that if Luis and Angel want to settle their problem, she should not be involved. 

In an interview aired on TV Patrol last week, Angel spoke up about Luis denying a third party was the cause of their breakup. She also commented on the reported romance between the two.

“Ito, reaction ko. Nandoon na sila sa ganoong buhay. Kung ini-enjoy nila yung moment na yun, e, di good job! Wala akong magandang masabi, so hindi nalang ako magsasalita.”

(This, this is my reaction. They’re there, at that moment in life. If they’re enjoying that moment, then good job! I have nothing nice to say, so I won’t say anything.)
