'You know people are when they are hurt, sad or angry or whatever, they get to say things that are not really well-thought-out. But siguro, iyon kasi ang nararamdaman ko,' Jessy clarifies her statement about Angel Locsin from a previous interview

During FHM Philippines’ 100 Sexiest 2016 event on Tuesday, July 26, where she was fêted as this year’s sexiest woman by the magazine, Jessy was asked to comment on her previous statements, especially: “I really admired her a lot, then it all went out the window.”

Siguro to answer that question, actually I promised myself and the people around me that it [will be] the last time I answer that issue,” she said.

“But siguro at that time, I was very hurt. And you know people are when they are hurt, sad or angry or whatever, they get to say things that are not really well-thought-[out]. But siguro, iyon kasi ang nararamdaman ko (But I guess, that’s what I felt) at that time. So iyon, sad to say,” she said.

When asked if she meant what she had said, Jessy replied: “I meant that. So let’s just leave it there.”

However, she refused to further comment on Angel’s remarks.

Is she and Luis Manzano now officially a couple? To this, Jessy replied: “Hindi pa.” (Not yet).

Luis previously admitted they are “going out.”

On meeting Luis’ mom

Jessy also shared some details about meeting Batangas representative Vilma Santos-Recto, Luis’ mom, after a photo of them circulated online. (READ: Vilma Santos speaks up about Luis Manzano, Jessy Mendiola)

“They actually invited me for dinner tapos iyun nga, she was kind enough, asked me how I was. Tapos iyon, she advised us just to be happy and as long as wala kaming ginagawa masama, just go on with our lives,” she said.

(They actually invited me for dinner and then it was that, she was kind enough, asked me how I was. And then after that, she just advised us to be happy as as long as we’re not doing anything wrong, just go on with our lives.)

Jessy admitted she was a little nervous in meeting Luis’ mom.

“Sobra pero sobrang bait niya so nakakatuwa, kasi pagpasok ko pa lang sa bahay nila, sobrang welcome na ganyan. So I can attest na sobrang mabait si Congresswoman Vi.”

(Yes, I was [nervous] but she was so nice so it was really great. When I entered their house, I felt really welcome. So I can attest that Congresswoman Vi is really nice.)

In spite of all the intrigues she’s been through, Jessy said that she’s very happy at this point of her career.

Feeling ko ito na. Parang sana magtuloy-tuloy na ito kasi alam naman natin lahat na (I really feel this is it. I hope it will continue because we all know that) […] I was floating for the past years and now that a little limelight has been shone upon me, I feel really happy. I feel really blessed despite all of the intrigues, the issues… I’m still happy,” she said.

For her persistent critics, Jessy simply said “Keep them coming.” – Rappler.com
