WATCH: Miguel Tanfelix back in Mulawin role on 'Encantadia'
MANILA, Philippines – Young actor Miguel Tanfelix is reprising the role of Pagaspas, the Mulawin character he played 12 years ago in the original series.
In an interview on 24 Oras, Miguel said all the memories came back to him when he did the role as a 5-year-old kid.
"Nung nalaman ko po na ako 'yung gaganap bilang Pagaspas ng Encantadia, talagang nag-flashback po sa 'kin lahat ng mga memories ko before.
(When I found out I was going to play Pagaspas, in Encantadia, all the memories came in flashbacks.)
"And syempre nakakagulat and syempre ang sarap sa feeling na gagampanan muli yung role na ginampanan mo nung 5 years old ka," he said. (And of course, I was shocked and at the same time, it feels good to reprise the role you played when you were 5 years old.)
According to Miguel, he got goosebumps when he saw the teaser. He also told viewers to watch out what Pagaspas' mission will be in Encantadia.
In a previous Instagram post, Miguel gave a hint when he posted a photo of the wings he would wear on the show.
"Ang kanyang muling paglipad (His time to fly again)," he captioned.
Members of the Encantadia cast also posted a photo of the Mulawin last week. (LOOK: Image teases 'Mulawin' on 'Encantadia')
Fans will recall the hit show Mulawin, which starred Richard Gutierrez as Aguiluz and Angel Locsin as Alwina in 2004. Miguel, who was Pagaspas in the show had a partner named Lawiswis played by Sam Bumatay.
In the 2005 Encantadia series, the Mulawins made several appearances such as when Imaw shared to a group of children how the Mulawins have helped the Diwatas, how Bagwis and Dakila helped Danaya, and Avilan, the leader of the Mulawins serving as a spirit guide to Amihan. They also appeared during the final battle after Lira sought help in defeating the Hathors. – Rappler.com
