‘Dolce Amore’ finale recap: Serena and Tenten’s happily ever after

MANILA, Philippines – In the season finale of Dolce Amore, Serena and Tenten tied up some loose ends and lived out their happily ever after. (IN PHOTOS: LizQuen, Matteo, and more at grand ‘Dolce Amore’ concert)

The last episode of the series, which aired on Friday, August 26, started off with Serena (Liza Soberano) and Tenten (Enrique Gil) happily riding through the streets of Italy on a scooter.

Tenten visits his mom, Luciana (Cherie Gil) in jail, where she tells him and Serena to forget about her. She is, after all, not only Tenten’s biological mother and Serena’s stepmom, but also the reason for a lot of their pain.

“Sana ganoon lang kadali yun (I wish it were that easy)… but you’re a part of me, as much as I am a part of you,” Tenten tells her instead, giving her another chance.

Later, Serena explains that Luciana decided to work for the government in order to get a lighter prison sentence.

Back in the Philippines, Serena and Tenten vehemently tell their families that they’ve decided not to get married.

Serena explains to her sister Angel (Sue Ramirez) that she has been through two weddings and in one of them, someone died – Gian Carlo (Matteo Guidicelli), the best friend she almost married. “Maybe weddings aren’t my thing,” said Serena.

Still, a wedding is held with Tenten and Serena saying their vows in front of all their close family, including Luciana and Serena’s father, Roberto (Ruben Maria Soriquez).

“I may not remember a lot about myself, but according to someone I love very much, I loved princess stories when I was young,” Serena’s wedding vows started. She had suffered from amnesia in the past, causing her to forget her early memories, including her first encounters with Tenten.

“Prince Charming doesn’t have to be perfect. It can also mean na tuwing kasama mo siya (when you are with him), everything is perfect… Tenten you may not be a real life prince, but you have charmed your way into my heart… I vow to always love you. The memory that never faded, the memory of my heart,” said Serena, adding that their story isn’t the happily ever after she imagined, but this is better – “It’s perfect.”

After Serena’s vows, Tenten told her, “Alam mo walang nakakaalam nito pero ikaw nagencourage sa akin para ipursue ang musika. Dahil sayo. Dahil sa saya at lahat ng komplikasyon na dala mo. Dahil sa ‘yo I found music.

(You know, nobody knows this, but you’re the one who encouraged me to pursue music. Because of you. Because of the joy and the complications you bring. Because of you I found music.)

“Pero alam mo narealize ko lang mali pala ako. It’s not because of you that I found music in my life. Dahil ikaw ang musika ko Serena.“

(But you know, I realized that I was wrong. It’s not because of you that I found music in my life. Because you’re my music, Serena.)

After their wedding, Serena and Tenten were shown playfully chasing each other in their bedroom, when Serena falls and hits her head – the memories she lost because of her amnesia are back, including all her memories of Tenten. – Rappler.com
