Adele on Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie divorce: ‘I don’t care’

MANILA, Philippines – After making headlines for dedicating her New York concert to the recently split Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Adele has made it clear that she isn’t actually that bothered by their divorce. 

During her performance last Tuesday, September 20 at Madison Square Garden, people who watched concert tweeted that the British singer dedicated some songs to the couple and said that the breakup was “the end of an era.” One even commented  that Adele was leading “them in group Brangelina breakup therapy session.”

“I mean, I don’t like gossiping and private lives should be private so I’m dedicating this show to tonight to them, because honestly, I’m really really sad… Honestly, I was shocked when I woke up this morning, no word of a lie,” Adele could be heard saying in a video of the concert.

But a few days later, at another concert at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, September 22, Adele explained: “I would like to say that I think it’s a bit sick that you’re reporting on an absolute joke,” Adele said. “I don’t care that they’ve broken up. I couldn’t give a f**king sh*t.”

“They’re making out like I was heartbroken, like ‘Oh my God, I want to dedicate…’ I don’t care. I don’t know them… I wish them both the best, but I don’t care. And, to be honest, I don’t think they really care about what all you lot say. I think it’s ridiculous, with what’s going on in the world, that’s front-page news? I mean, who’d have thought? It’s sick.”

She added that she makes a lot of jokes, but supposed it was her delivery that led people to think she was serious about her previous comments.
