WATCH: The very first ‘On The Job: The Series’ trailer is here!

MANILA, Philippines – We’ve met the cast and learned the synopsis – and now, the first teaser for On The Job: The Series is finally here. It’s nothing short of spectacular, with twists and turns, surprises, emotions running high, and grisly images of violence not unlike many of those we’ve seen in the news. 

The first frame alone is intriguing, and recalls a very familiar figure in the prominent poster resting on the desk – could that be the old “wanted” poster of Tatang (Joel Torre) from the 2013 film? But before we can ponder this too much, we are quickly introduced to Sisoy (Teroy Guzman) and Pam’s (Bela Padilla) respective stories. Both have secrets, and both seem overcome by their internal struggles.

Various killings also pepper the teaser, providing an unsettling, unflinching look at the miniseries’ setting and ominious environment.

We’ve learned that the OTJ series shines the spotlight on media and local politics, as a Christmastime murder of 8 journalists sets the events of the program in motion.
