WATCH: Deleted scene from ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ shows a different Miranda Priestly

MANILA, Philippines – It’s been 11 years since The Devil Wears Prada was shown and we all know that Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) was inspired by Anna Wintour. But unknown to many, some scenes in the film that didn’t make the final cut could have changed the whole storyline.

Netizens started talking when one of the deleted scenes was posted online. In it, we see Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) and Emily (Emily Blunt) helping out Miranda during the party thrown by Runway magazine. Miranda’s husband then enters and makes a scene, prompting Andy to defuse the situation and ease the tension.

Fans online said that seeing the scene gave them a different perspective of the film, while some said it was better that it was not included in the film.

The film is based on the popular novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger. It garnered a number nominations, including an Oscar Best Actress nomination for Meryl Streep and Costume Design for Patricia Field.
