Surprise! Alicia Vikander, Michael Fassbender are married

MANILA, Philippines – Actors Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender were married in a private ceremony in Ibiza over the weekend. 

According to a report from People, the two wed at the La Granja farmstead resort, which their friends and family attended. While the couple have yet to confirm the wedding, E! News reported that they were spotted entertaining guests at the beach after arriving from Paris. 

Unlike most showy celebrity engagements, the couple have remained decidedly low key after was announced over the summer that the couple were engaged. On Sunday, October 16, The Daily Mail published photos of the two looking relaxed and happy and also wearing wedding bands. 

The couple got together after co-starring in 2014’s The Light Between Oceans. The two have been very private about their relationship, but in an interview, Alicia praised Michael for his craft. 

“I knew that Michael was attached to play Tom, and I think he’s one of the most brilliant actors out there,” she said.

Michael meanwhile admitted that he was a bit scared when they were filming The Light Between Oceans because he saw how hungry and fierce she was in fleshing out her character in the film.

As for maintaing a private life, Michael told Entertainment Weekly: “Each to their own. I’m not going to talk about my private life with a total stranger, unless I feel like I need to. Why would I? I don’t.”

Alicia, who won a Best Supporting Actress for The Danish Girl is set to appear in the reboot of Tomb Raider. – Rappler.com
