MANILA, Philippines – The TNT Boys will be part of the Tawag ng Tanghalan concert on July 28 at the Araneta Coliseum, alongside fellow finalists from the singing contest on noontime show It’s Showtime. 

In an interview during the press conference for the concert, the boys — Francis Concepcion, Mackie Empuerto, and Kiefer Sanchez — who are currently on Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids, said they’ve yet to think about the possibility of going solo after the show. When it comes to the kid to beat in the show, the boys said all of the other kids are good. However, they did agree that Sheena Belarmino, who won the most number of weekly challenges, is the biggest contender of them all.

“Magaling po siya at madali po siyang mangaya ng boses pati po ng expression,” says Mackie Empuerto. (She’s very good and she can easily imitate anyone’s voice, even the and expression.)

The boys said their mentors, Jed Madela and Nyoy Volante, always remind them to practice the icon assigned to them, to do their research, and always remain in character.

Although they are still young, the boys, aged 11 to 12 years old, have remained humble. They said they’re happy and grateful for the accolades they’ve been getting from both the local and international scene. The boys have appeared in Little Big Shots USA and UK editions this year.

“S’yempre po masaya po and thankful po kay God kasi binigyan n’yo po kami at a young age po na super blessings  –  mga projects and assignments na hindi po namin akalain mangyayari po pala,” Mackie said.

(Of course we’re happy and thankful to God because he gave a lot of blessings at a young age  –  projects and assignmnets that we did not expect.)

While their schedule is jampacked with Your Face, TV appearances, and concerts, the boys are opened to exploring other options. Francis said he would love to star in a project with Vice Ganda.

All 3 also said that given a chance, they would love to appear in the show Bagani.

TNT All-Star Showdown concert also features champions Noven Belleza and Janine Berdin along with finalists Sam Mangubat, the TNT Divas  Rachel Gabreza, Gidget Dela Llana, and Remy Luntayao, the Cove composed of Sofronio Vasquez, Christian Bahaya, and JM Bales, and the comical threesome Hala, which includes Hazelyn Cascano, Lucky Robles, and Alfred Relatado.
