Jasmine on Anne-Sam incident: ‘It’s up to them’
What does Anne Curtis' sister Jasmine Curtis-Smith have to say about the whole 'You're not classy enough' incident involving Anne and rumored boyfriend Sam Concepcion?

MANILA, Philippines – She would rather stay out of it.

Actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith refused to comment on the issue between her sister Anne Curtis and rumored boyfriend Sam Concepcion, saying that whatever happened is between the two people involved.

“Basta ako wala ako dun. I was busy shooting for Dementia in Bulacan. I was in Batanes for 10 days before that and after that we shot in Bulacan. So I was gone…wala akong 3G or anything,” Jasmine told members of the media after her birthday taping for TV 5’s SpinNation last Saturday, April 5, in Ocean Adventure Park, Manila. Jasmine turned 20 on April 6.

(I was not there. I was busy shooting for Dementia in Bulacan.  I was in Batanes for ten days before that and after that we shot in Bulacan. So I was gone…I have no 3G or anything)

“So whatever happened that’s only between the two of them and the people who were there. I refuse to be involved because I was not there and I refuse to make the issue bigger… And it’s up to them,” she added, saying that she wasn’t in the position to speak further.

Jasmine also said that her relationships with her sister and Sam are still the same despite the controversy.

“My relationships with my sister, my family, with Sam. All the same. It all boils down to communication.  If you know how to communicate, you’re set.”

Anne allegedly approached Sam at a party and told Sam the he was “not classy enough” to be at the event – the birthday bash of Anne’s It’s Showtime co-host, Vice Ganda. The actress denied the allegations.

Sam himself has not spoken up on the issue.

On comments about ‘bad karma’

She admitted that she was hurt when detractors said that Anne suffered from bad karma when she was stung by a jellyfish while shooting on location for her latest teleserye, Dyesebel

I just wish the best upon them. I don’t think you can wish bad karma on anyone, because that’s just plain wrong. And I guess their faith isn’t as strong as my family’s so I just wish that they’ll find their stand on the ground and real happiness in their lives because if you’re really happy as a person you won’t need to tell people ‘Karma mo yan eh kasi ganyan ka. Kaya ka nagkasakit.’” (You have bad karma because you’re like this, that’s why you got hurt.)

“If it’s a health issue I believe na sumusobra na ang mga tao (people are going overboard) in wishing illness upon my sister because I would never wish something like that on anyone’s family or anyone’s friend,” Jasmine said.

Anne was recently discharged from the hospital after the jellyfish incident.

On Julia Barretto

Meanwhile, Jasmine remained tight-lipped about Sam and actress Julia Barretto, his co-star in Mirabella. According to reports, Julia was allegedly one of the reasons why Anne confronted Sam.

“You know what, honestly, I’m sorry but it’s not my issue to speak of,” Jasmine told Pep.ph.

“I dont know where that came from. I don’t know how her name popped up. So, whatever you guys you want to believe, it’s up to you guys.” – with reports from Aretha Angcao and Alexa Villano/Rappler.com
