WATCH: CW releases first teaser for ‘The Flash’
Don’t blink or you’ll miss 'The Flash'

MANILA, Philippines – This just in! The CW has already released the first teaser for “The Flash,” the new superhero series premiering this fall.

It’s game on for The CW’s Arrow spinoff, The Flash. The minute-long teaser made its debut during the second half of the Arrow season two finale, featuring The Flash and Green Arrow (played by leading men Grant Gustin and Stephen Amell, respectively) in an ominously fierce encounter.

In the teaser we see The Flash intercepting an arrow shot by Green Arrow, who then mutters “Show off,” just as the series’ flashy new logo comes into view. With lightning speed and a cocky smile, The Flash dares Green Arrow to fire another shot as the teaser comes to a close.

In a report by The Hollywood Reporter, we learned that The Flash is just one of the two new series based on DC Comics, iZombie being the other DC-based show. A spinoff of the hit series Arrow, The Flash revolves around the story of scientist Barry Allen who acquires super speed power after a freak accident.

The fastest man alive will be played by Grant Gustin. Other cast members revealed include guest star John Wesley Shipp (who played the original Flash from the 90’s and comes back in a mystery role), Danielle Panabaker as bioengineer Caitlin, and Carlos Valdes as mechanical engineering whiz Cisco.

Other characters joining the cast include Candice Patton as Barry Allen’s love interest Iris, Tom Cavanaugh as physicist Harrison Wells, Jesse Martin as Detective West and Rick Cosnett as Detective Eddie Thawne.

By the same team which brought us Arrow, The Flash is headed by executive producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and David Nutter. Melissa Kellner Berman is the show’s co-executive producer.

Will The Flash series be just as much of a hit as Arrow? Let us know what you think. – Rappler.com
