MANILA, Philippines – TV host and actress Kris Aquino said she packed up taping early on Tuesday, June 10, saying that she is “not okay.”

Kris posted a picture of a quote on her Instagram account which read: “Sometimes the girl who’s always been there for everyone else, needs someone to be there for her.”

Kris also did not appear in the Tuesday June 10 episode of Aquino and Abunda Tonight, which she co-hosts with Boy Abunda.

“I’m sorry for needing this time for myself, I’m sorry@darlasauler that I just didn’t have the strength to make your birthday a festive day. Although super DAMI naman yung kinain mong alimango dito sa house from @eriksantos (triple rice diba?),” she wrote.

(Although you ate a lot of crab here at the house, from @erikssantos (triple rice, right?))

She however thanked people around her for their concern and assured them that she would be back to work on Wednesday June 11.  

“Thanks @alvingagui @jasminip &@rey_lanada for checking on me. Thank you for genuinely caring about me… Back to work tomorrow & back on IG once I’m sure that my broken heart is healed.

“Nahihiya lang akong (I am just embarrassed) mag pretend pa to be okay when I still have a long way to go,” the caption read.

Although she did not disclose the reason as to why she’s broken-hearted, many followers believe that her post refers to the recent interview by Quezon City Mayor Herbert in an episode of Bandila last week. Bautista admitted that he loved the actress but ended the romance as it was affecting his children.

When asked by The Philippine Star’s Ricky Lo for a comment, Kris chose to keep quiet and even posted a a screen-capture of the exchange of message between her and Ricky. 

“At 43 years old, finally learning when it’s best to just keep my mouth shut,” read part of the caption, which talked about knowing when it’s best to keep mum. 

Last April, Kris confirmed that she and Herbert were dating but later stopped. Despite ending the romance, Kris said that  she and Herbert remained the best of friends. –Rappler.com
