MANILA, Philippines – There is no doubt that social media has forever changed the landscape of communication. Globe once again recognizes this through the upcoming 2014 Tatt Awards.
Now on its fourth year, this year’s awards, called Expect the Unexpected, recognizes personalities who have made use of social media to move and influence people amidst the constant changes in technology and consequently, on society.
According to the press release, anyone with a Facebook or Twitter account is eligible to nominate groups or individuals in the following categories:

Voters may cast their nominations for the 11 categories from June 30, 2014-July 13, 2014 at tattawards2014.com. From the nomination process, the Tatt Council will review the content from all social media accounts of the the nominees for each category. This year’s Tatt Council is a mixture of social media influencers and personalities who have made their mark on their respective fields. They are:

The council will then judge all entries based on the criteria and guidelines. From there, they will decide the top 5 per each category, which will move on to the voting stage of the awards. The score from the Tatt Council’s 50% vote shall play a big factor in final score of all nominees who will make it to the top 5.
Voting for the final list will start on July 15 and end on August 3, 2014. The final tallying will be done between August 4-7, 2014 before the big night on August 8.
