Jessica Simpson marries Eric Johnson

MANILA, Philippines – Singer Jessica Simpson married boyfriend former NFL player Eric Johnson on Saturday at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.

According to a report from People, the wedding was attended by more than 250 guests which include family and friends such as Jessica’s sister Ashley, Jessica Alba, Cash Warren, and CaCee Cobb.

The couple’s children Ace, 1 and Maxwell, 2 participated in their parents’ special day as ring bearer and flower girl.

The magazine also reported that Jessica wore a wedding gown by fashion designer Carolina Herrera.

“We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment,” the couple told People in a statement.

“To say ‘I do’ in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives.”

The two started dating four years ago when they were introduced by mutual friends. In November 2010, Johnson proposed to Simpson, who rose to fame as a singer and actress, and later as a fashion designer.

In May 2012, the couple welcomed their first child Maxwell Drew and was followed by son Ace Knute in June 2013.

This is the second marriage for Simpson. She was previously married to 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey. –Rappler.com
