Jeron Teng on friendship with Jane Oineza

MANILA, Philippines – La Salle Green Archers’ Jeron Teng has spoken about his rumored relationship with Pinoy Big Brother housemate Jane Oineza, saying that the two are good friends.

He also clarified a previous comment he made about a “mutual understanding” with Jane. 

‘We’re friends. ‘Yun lang. May mutual understanding lang sa priorities at schedules namin. We’re just getting to know each other,” he said in an interview with The Buzz, Sunday, September 21.

(We’re friends. That is all. There is mutual understanding in our priorities and schedules. We’re just getting to know each other.)

He also took the opportunity to defend Oineza, who was bashed online, after La Salle’s loss to the University of the East in their basketball game last week. 

”Sabi ko nga sa kanya manood siya ulit para manalo kami. Kawawa naman siya. ‘Di naman niya fault ‘yung [pagkatalo].’’

(I told her to watch so we can win. I feel so sorry for her. It is not her fault we did not win.)

But Oineza said she went to the game to watch Teng, and that’s that.

“Para sa kanya naman ako nanood. Hindi para sa kanila. So basta ako kung magaling siya maglaro, ok na ako. Proud ako sa kanya,” she said.

(I went there to watch him and not for them. So if he played well, that is fine with me. I am very proud of him.)

Meanwhile, according to a report from ABS-CBN, Oineza’s mother said on Kris TV Monday, September 22 that her daughter is still to young for suitors – including Teng.

“Kahit sino, hindi. Huwag muna Ms. Kris. Sayang naman,” said the actress’ motherJennifer Oineza.

(Whoever it is, not for now. Not for now, Ms. Kris.)

However, the actress’ mom said that being best friends is okay.

Both have been vocal about being close to each other, but have not confirmed that they were more than friends. –Rappler.com
