Elmo Magalona confirms relationship with Janine Gutierrez

MANILA, Philippines – Actor and musician Elmo Magalona has confirmed that he and actress Janine Gutierrez are officially a couple.

According to a Pep report, Elmo made the confirmation during the pocket press conference given by GMA 7 for their upcoming show More Than Words.

“Yes, yes, kami na (we’re together),”  Elmo said, saying that he tries to make Janine feel special everyday. 

“I make it a point na I don’t really want her to get bored. So… I keep thinking of things to keep it fun,” he said.

Elmo, the son of the late Francis Magalona, also said that he talked with Janine’s parents, actors Ramon Christopher and Lotlot de Leon, about his intentions for their daughter. Janine is also the granddaughter of veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez and singer Pilita Corrales. 

“I visit her family. And I’m actually close to her siblings,” he said.

Elmo believes that Janine is a good influence for him. Janine also said the same thing about Elmo.

“’Cause he has this way of making things happen. 

“Ako kasi (me), I have this bad habit na, ‘Hindi (No), next time na lang,’” Janine said who worked with Elmo in the afternoon drama Villa Quintana.

Despite their 5-year-gap (Elmo is 20, Janine, 25), Elmo said it is not an issue for them, although he tends to be the jealous one in the relationship.

“Actually, no, it’s not a really big deal. It’s not something that we think about.” 

“Medyo seloso ako ( I am the jealous one) because Janine is a really attractive girl.  That’s it. Yun lang ang kailangan ko sabihin! ( That’s it That is all I have to say about it!)” Elmo said. – Rappler.com
