MANILA, Philippines – Years after leaving ABS-CBN, Marvin Agustin is set to return to his home network to work on a drama called Flordeliza

The actor posted a photo on Instagram of his shooting day at the set.

“Thank you Lord for a great first day of #Flordeliza taping… Good night peeps!,” the caption read.

According to a report from ABS-CBN, Marvin was emotional during the first day of the taping.

Dito ako lumaki, dito ako nagsimula. (I grew up here, there is where I began.) I was 16 when I started. I’m very emotional,” he said.

In another ABS-CBN report, director Wenn Deramas confirmed that he will direct Marvin’s new TV drama. He also answered questions about the possibility of Marvin’s former on-screen partner Jolina Magdangal joining the show.

Ako honestly hindi ko pa alam, hindi pa nila ako binabalikan, hindi pa nila ako binabalitaan. Pero napakaganda siguro kung mangyayari ‘yon, hindi ba? Marvin-Jolina, throwback na throwback,” the director said.

(Me honestly, I don’t know, they have not gotten back to me, they have not informed me of anything new. But that would be wonderful if it happened, right?)

Marvin started his career in ABS-CBN on shows such as Gimik, FlamesEsperanza, and Labs Ko si Babe with on-screen partner, fan favorite Jolina Magdangal.

He also appeared in GMA 7 shows such as I Luv NY, also with Jolina, and Marimar with Marian Rivera.

Apart from showbiz, Marvin also runs his successful group of restaurants, which include include Sumo Sam and John and Yoko. He recently relaunched another restaurant called Alqueria in Megamall.

Marvin is also promoting the movie Moron 5.2: The Transformation! which stars him, Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, Matteo Guidicelli, John “Sweet” Lapus, and DJ Durano, and will be shown this November. – Rappler.com
