Kris Aquino not closing her doors to politics
Kris also says she is happy about son Bimby’s relationship with her ex-husband, and chats with reporters about her new business venture
MANILA, Philippines – TV host-actress Kris Aquino said  she isn’t closing her doors to the possibility of eventually entering politics – but said that she wouldn’t be running in 2016.
“Politics? Not in 2016. But I’m not taking out the possibility because at some point in your life, you have to give back for the many blessings you’ve received,” she told reporters at a press conference for Chowking on Wednesday, October 29.
Pero yun nga, parang pinag-usapan naming mga kapatid ko yun (But my siblings and I are talking about it).”
She also gave a quick update on how her kids are doing, and even commented that her relationship with former husband James Yap is now better.
“I really have to give credit to James’ girlfriend [Michela Cazzola] kasi mabait siya (she’s really nice). I think, malaking bagay talaga kung sino yung bagong partner (it’s a big factor who the new partner is), if she will be good to your child and even to (Josh) because come to think of it, Josh is a stepson and they always include him. So, if you see them happy, it makes things light for me.”
She also said that she is glad that Yap is able to be with Bimby, especially through the basketball clinic he conducted for his son and his friends.
Meanwhile, Kris is busy with her other projects and numerous endorsements. She is the face of Chowking, and has also invested in a franchising deal. Her own franchise of the popular fast-food restaurant set to open in November in Ali Mall.
According her, she got the idea from her good friend Boy Abunda, after his health scare.
“When Boy got sick, ‘yun talaga ang nagsabi sa akin na (that’s what it said that) we are only as good as our physical bodies and then what if something happens now (knock on wood) to me? And then I’ll be indisposed for several months? What will happen to my children? So, kailangan talaga na meron kang negosyo, negosyo na tatakbo. (I need to have a business, a business that will run.)”   Rappler.com
