Hot checkout boy #alexfromtarget is viral sensation

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – If you’ve been on Twitter today, you may have noticed a certain #alexfromtarget hashtag that trended through to Tuesday, November 4.  

BuzzFeed reported that it all started when @auscalum posted a photo of an attractive Target employee, identified only by his nametag as Alex.

The memes and photo manipulations ensued, including one that said, “He scanned my items for me when nobody would.”

Others evens offered their own versions of #alexfromtarget, pointing out other employees they thought were hot.

Internet fame ensued, prompting the real Alex to tweet about his many followers – as of this writing, he has 498,000.
