Derek not giving up on love after Mary Christine drama

MANILA, Philippines – After settling the case with his estranged wife Mary Christine Jolly, Derek Ramsay said that he isn’t giving up on finding the right partner.

In an interview with Pep, Derek said that while he has been through a lot, he is still looking forward to having kids in the future.

“I’m definitely traumatized. But I’m a sucker for love,” he said. “You’ve seen that in my relationships. I fall hard. That’s why sometimes you make stupid mistakes. But you learn from your mistakes, right?”

Derek confirmed an earlier report, where his lawyer Joji Alonso said he initially planned to file charges of adultery and grave coercion against Mary Christine.

“Like I said, I was pushed up on the wall. 

“I didn’t want to do the whole case thing. I don’t wanna file anything against her. 

“But she kept on putting [out] all these very hurtful things that are not true,” he said.

Now that everything is settled between them, Derek said he is looking forward to spending time with his son Austin, but said that he will take it slow. (READ: Derek Ramsay wants the ‘right to be a father’)

On Monday, November 3, Mary Christine’s lawyer Argee Guevarra confirmed that Mary dropped the concubinage charges against Derek and Angelica. Guevarra also said that they withdrew the Violence Against Women and their Children Act complaint they filed against the actor.

Derek’s lawyer Joji Alonso confirmed that issues have been settled between the two camps. – Rappler.com
