MANILA, Philippines – It’s been a decade since their love team was on air, and they will soon be back again, to the delight of their fans. 

Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin are starring in the upcoming ABS-CBN drama called FlordeLiza. 

During the press conference for the show at the Dolphy Theater, Marvin and Jolina said that they were surprised with the reaction they have been getting, following the news of the team-up.

“Oo lalo na pag may guesting dito (ABS-CBN). Nag-guesting kami sa Gandang Gabi Vice and tapos yung mga tao kinikilig sila, nag-papapicture na parang ‘talaga po?’  Tapos yung mga reactions nila sa Instagram, sa Twitter, sa Facebook parang nakakatuwa pa rin isipin buhay pa rin tayo diba – ang mga Jolina-Marvin fans,” Jolina said.

(Yes, especially when whe have guestings. We guested in Gandang Gabi Vice, and many were still thrilled, having their pictures taken with us, and I asked, ‘really?’ And the reaction from Instagram, Facebook and Twitter – it’s just so nice to think that they are still there.)

Marvin believes that the so-called magic is still there for him and Jolina because they enjoy themselves as a tandem.

“We both enjoy what we are doing, we enjoy this team up. Hindi siya pilit. (It’s not forced) Never kaming (We were never) forced to say something or be together. We enjoy this.” 

One of the most talked-about scenes is a bed scene between the two. According to Jolina, it was not a big deal for them since for this project, they are set to do things that they have never done before.

In the trailer shown to the press, the story revolves around two families connected through Crisanto (Marvin), a battalion commander stationed in the province. He is a loving husband to Elizabeth (Desiree del Valle) and father to Liza (Rhed Bustamante.)

While stationed in the province, he meets Florida (Jolina), a nurse in the station where he is staying. They soon get together and have a daughter Flor (Ashley Sarmiento).

Florida and Elizabeth’s paths cross when Crisanto is tortured and Florida is hired to nurse him back to health. Their children also become close to each other, not knowing that they are related.

The show also stars Elizabeth Oropesa, Juan Rodrigo, Carlo Aquino and Techie Agbayani.
