Dennis Trillo nominated in 19th Asian Television Awards
MANILA, Philippines – Actor Dennis Trillo has been nominated in the Best Actor category, while The Voice of the Philippines is among the nominees in the upcoming 19th Asian Television Awards.
According to the Asian Television Awards website, Dennis, who was nominated for his portrayal of the titular lover in the drama My Husband’s Lover is up against actors from Singapore, China, and Taiwan.
The Voice of the Philippines meanwhile is up for an award in the Best Adaptation of an Existing Format category.
ABS-CBN and GMA 7 are also nominationed in the Best News Program category, with GMA 7 earning two nominations for Saksi: Wrath of Typhoon Yolanda and News TV Quick Response Team: “Krisis sa Samboanga” (Zamboanga Crisis). TV Patrol: Haiyan’s Fury of ABS-CBN is also nominated.
Sports journalist TJ Manotoc is also nominated in the Best Sports Presenter/Commentator category for ABS-CBN’s The Score.
The documentary Pinoy Hoops: A National Obsession by the National Geographic Channel Philippines is nominated in the Best Infoainment Program category.
The winners will be announced at the awards gala ceremony at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore on December 11.
