MANILA, Philippines – Cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao has announced that she will be part of a Japanese movie next year.

In an interview with ABS-CBN for one of her endorsements, Alodia, known as the “Cosplay Queen” in the Philippines, said that she is happy to have many opportunities opening up for her.

“I’m very glad na may mga opportunities po para sa akin na (that there many opportunities) still related to what I’m doing, which is cosplay and Japanese culture,” she said. 

She said that the movie was offered to her during a convention she attended in Singapore. 

Alodia did not disclose more information about the movie, but she said she will play a Filipino character.

“But I’m not sure if I’m going to speak Tagalog, Japanese or English so we’ll see about it,” she said.

Alodia also mentioned the the movie is a government-supported film, which is “very educational.” 

Previously, Alodia released an album in Japan in 2012. She is currently going between Manila and Japan for work, where she does guestings, conventions , and TV work. – Rappler.com
