MANILA, Philippines – Be Careful with My Heart star Richard Yap believes that Valentine’s Day shouldn’t just be for one day. 

“My wife and I really don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day. Why celebrate it for one day, when everyday should be one,” he told reporters during the launch of his perfume RY for Avon, Wednesday, January 21 in Makati.

Looking sharp in a suit and sporting a new haircut, Richard said that he is looking forward to trying other types of roles this year.

“We might be doing something a little bit more serious this time. But not too serious,” he said.

The 47-year-old actor also said that he is happy for his Be Careful With My Heart co-stars Janella Salvador and Jerome Ponce, who now have have their own respective shows. Janella is the lead actress in the new morning show Oh My G!, while Jerome is part of the afternoon drama Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita.

“I am very proud that they have been able to get their own shows. We started on the journey together. That was basically their first show…and I hope they will be more successful in the coming year.”

Aside from his acting career and business ventures, Richard will also guest in Ai-Ai delas Alas’ show entitled Ai Heart Papa in February. As for his newest endorsement, Richard said he is very honored to be part of an international brand.

“It’s a point of pride to be part of the Avon family and to have a fragrance that sports my initials,” he said. –Rappler.com
