Former 'Voice PH' contestant makes it past first 'American Idol' audition
MANILA, Philippines – Former The Voice of The Philippines contestant Dave Lamar secured a spot in the Hollywood week round of singing competition American Idol.
Although his audition did not air, Dave tweeted a photo of himself holding a golden ticket in his hand.

The 23-year old singer first shared about his audition in San Francisco in a photo tweet on Tuesday, January 27.

He caught the attention of social media users, plus The Voice of the Philippines coach Lea Salonga, who wished him luck.

Dave first joined The Voice of the Philippines’s first season in 2013 and auditioned with The Script’s song “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.”
