MANILA, Philippines – Singer John Mayer just couldn’t stop gushing about singer Katy Perry’s performance at the Super Bowl when he guest-hosted on The Late Late Show with Jim Gaffigan.

TV host Andy Cohen came on the show as guest, and asked the singer where he was during the Super Bowl halftime show. John replied that he was there, seated in a box with his family.

John continued on to say that Katy brought a positive influence to the Internet, saying, “She made the Internet a kind, gentle place.”

Andy then quipped, “Mazel to your family, to your girlfriend.”

John only said in reply, “Your questions make gossip stories.”

Earlier on the show, the singer interviewed Katy Perry’s dancing sharks and a tag-along “marine biologist.”
