“I was busy working on my album, my self titled album Marlisa. And we were recording it one week after I won in Melbourne,” Marlisa told reporters before her performance.

“I recorded my audition song and most of the of the songs in the X-Factor live shows and we were busy promoting my album and my single as well because it just came out,” she added.

As for her mentor Ronan Keating, Marlisa didn’t run out of great things to say about him.

“He cared for me every step of the way, even when I was sick. He was still concerned for me and he was like ‘I think you should rest. Don’t push yourself too hard. Don’t overdo it.”

During the performance, she told her supporters to go for their dreams.

“If anyone in this crowd has a dream, go for it because nothing is impossible. You can do it,” she said.

She later posted this selfie with fans:
