Kim Chiu: ‘Don’t judge’

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Kim Chiu tweeted a statement on February 21, apparently defending actor and rumored boyfriend Xian Lim. (READ: Advice from Kim Chiu: ‘You just have to be yourself’)

In the tweet, she said that there are always 3 sides to every story, and that one should not judge if he or she were not present during the incident:

Although she did not say Xian’s name in the tweet, this was posted after the actor’s controversy in Albay, where he refused to wear the t-shirt promoting the city.

News of this offended residents and Albay Governor Joey Salceda, who took to Facebook to air his reactions on the issue, even mentioning that Xian should learn from Ramon Bautista’s ‘hipon’ comment incident. Xian later released a statement on his Twitter account, saying that he only refused to wear the shirt because it clashed with his current clothing endorsement.  

In separate interviews with The Buzz Sunday, February 22, Governor Joey Salceda accepted Xian’s apology, saying that it was the necessary first step to repentance. Xian also disclosed his side of the story, saying that he did not come to Albay to be rude, but only to entertain his fans there. – Rappler.com
