Lea Salonga headed back to Broadway in 'Allegiance'
MANILA, Philippines – Beloved performer Lea Salonga is headed back to Broadway.
She will be joining George Takei, best known for his role as Sulu in the Star Trek series, in the Broadway premiere of the musical Allegiance, reported Playbill.com. The play will officially open on November 8.
Lea announced the happy news on Twitter, encouraging Asian-Americans to audition.

Actor Telly Leung will also star. Telly, Lea, and George also played the same roles at musical’s initial premiere at the Old Globe theater in San Diego in 2012.
Allegiance, based on George Takei’s experiences, tells the story of brother and sister Sammy and Kei Kimura, who choose different paths to protect their family during the volatile times of uncertainty in the US in World War II. – Rappler.com
