Mariel Rodriguez suffers miscarriage
MANILA, Philippines – TV host and actress Mariel Rodriguez suffered a miscarriage.
On Instagram, Saturday, March 14 Mariel initially gave a cryptic message.
“Not all days are happy... some days are sad. #byecutiepie,” Mariel wrote.
She also posted another photo on Sunday, March 15.
"Having a sad day doesn't mean its the end of the world. sh*t really does happen but today I felt so much love from my family and concerned friends. I am grateful because I am not alone during this turbulent phase in my life I have my sister, my stepdaughters, my friends and my husband. one day the sun will shine again. #byecutiepie."
According to report on Pep, Mariel confirmed on Facebook that she was 8 weeks and 3 days pregnant with her and Robin Padilla’s first child.
Mariel said that the baby did not develop.
“I am waiting to bleed anytime now. Doctor says it's a miscarriage.
“Sharing with all of you my journey. I don’t have it all figured out yet but I know with all the prayers, love, and support that you are all bestowing upon me, I will get through this,” Mariel said.
Mariel also thanked actress Claudine Barretto, who, according to her extended her sympathies.
Mariel also posted photos of her pregnancy journey on Facebook.
In her Instagram posts, Mariel called her baby #cutiepie because she did not know the sex of the baby. Had the baby developed, she would have given birth on October.
Meanwhile, Betchay Vidanes, Robin Padilla’s manager confirmed to ABS-CBN, that Mariel would rather wait to naturally bleed than go to the hospital.
Nevertheless, Mariel said she is grateful for the support she has been getting. She posted two photos from her stepchildren.
"Flowers for you Cutie Pie from your ates #byecutiepie," she wrote.
"Thank you girls #byecutiepie."
