Vin Diesel names daughter after Paul Walker

MANILA, Philippines – Vin Diesel named his newborn daughter after his good friend, the late Paul Walker.

“I named her Pauline,” Vin said during an interview on The Today Show. 

Pauline is the third child of Vin with his long time girlfriend Paloma Jimenez.

Vin said that he felt Paul was around when his daughter was born early this month. (READ: Vin Diesel, Tyrese, family, friends remember Paul Walker one year after death)

“He was in the room,” Vin shared. “There’s no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord. I just … knew he was there… It felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my family and a part of my world.”

Paul Walker died on November 30, 2013 when the car he was riding slammed into a tree and caught fire in Los Angeles. Before the incident, Paul, who appeared with Vin in the Fast and the Furious movies, was active in raising money for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan.)

Paul was finishing the 7th installment of the Fast and the Furious movie before his death. The movie was completed with the help of Paul’s brothers Cody and Caleb, who stepped in to help the cast and crew film the rest of his scenes. –Rappler.com
