Megan Young signs with GMA 7
MANILA, Philippines – Miss World 2013 Megan Young signed a contract with GMA 7, Tuesday March 31.
Megan was accompanied by her agent Arnold Vegafria. She was met by the executives of GMA lead by GMA 7 chairman Felipe Gozon.
In an interview with reporters, Megan shared how she is happy to be back with the Kapuso Network.
"Masaya, kasi dito ako nagsimula bilang isang Starstruck finalist. So ngayon masaya ang pagbabalik kasi I've grown so much as a person, as an artist, and now nandito uli ako, " Megan said.
(I am very happy because I started here [in GMA] as a Starstruck finalist. Now, it's nice to return because I've grown so much as a person, as an artist, and now I am here.)
Megan confirmed that she will be co-hosting the new Starstruck show with Dingdong Dantes.
"The good news is since galing ako sa (I came from) Starstruck, I'll be co-hosting Starstruck with Dingdong."
When asked what tips she can give to the next aspiring actors, Megan said: "Kung hindi ka manalo (If you do not win), don't take it too hard. There are always good things out there for you."
Aside from Starstruck, Megan said a drama has been lined up for her. Her contract with Miss World is still valid for one year and she mentioned that she will be traveling to other countries very soon with 2014 Miss World Rolene Strauss.
Before signing with GMA 7 again, Megan was with ABS-CBN, where she starred in a number of shows. She also became a VJ for Channel V Philippines and was a film student at La Salle St. Benilde.
In 2013, Megan competed in Miss World Philippines, where she won the title. She was later crowned as Miss World 2013 held in Bali, Indonesia, becoming the first Filipino to win the title. – Rappler.com
