Jericho Rosales, Kristine Hermosa’s wise words for KathNiel in ‘Pangako’

MANILA, Philippines – Jericho Rosales said he could not help but feel nostalgic and proud when he saw scenes of the new Pangako Sa’ Yo, which first aired last Monday, May 25.

“Nostalgic siyempre,” Jericho said in an interview with ABS-CBN at the sideline of Maja Salvador’s movie You’re Still The One. “I feel proud na ‘yung show namin naging isang remake. Classic siya ngayon na naging remake. I’m very, very happy for the two – sina Daniel [Padilla] and Kathryn [Bernardo], and the entire cast.”

(I feel proud that our show has a remake. It’s now a classic that’s been remade.)

“A piece of advice – I always say, you make a lousy them, you make a great you. And Daniel is an original. 

“Sakto lang na gumawa sila ng isang remake because people love it. The teenagers of 2015 want to see Pangako Sa ‘Yo. They just have to do their thing. They’re guided by great directors and writers,” Jericho said. 

(It was right that they made a remake because people love it.)

Jericho, who can be seen on Bridges of Love, also added that Daniel and Kathryn should not focus on the pressure since they are given a good project to work on.

Meanwhile on Instagram, actress Kristine Hermosa, who played Yna in the original, wished Kathryn well in the show.
