MANILA, Philippines – SM Aura held a special screening Taklub for the cast and invited guests on Monday, June 1.

Among those who attended the screening were actors Julio Diaz and Lou Veloso. Also spotted at the special screening were Leyte Congressman Martin Romualdez, Leyte councilor and former actress Cristina Gonzales-Romualdez, and actress Andi Eigenmann.

Superstar Nora Aunor was unable to attend the event due to health reasons.

Director Brillante Mendoza however clarifed that the event was for the men and women who took part in the film, and audiences could look forward to a later screening. 

“It’s actually meant for the staff, for the crew and for those who’ve helped us in the shoot. Hindi pa talaga siya yung (This is not yet the) advance screening. We will have that sa June 3 sa French Film Festival,” he said.

Taklub (Trapped) premiered at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, where it competed in the Un Certain Regard category. The film was awarded with the  Ecumenical Jury-Prize Special Mention. –Rappler.com
