From Justin Bieber to Oprah memes, Ariadna Gutierrez and Steve Harvey laugh at the funniest ones that have come up since the pageant mix-up

MANILA, Philippines – Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez and Miss Universe host Steve Harvey had a heavy first interview since the coronation night mix-up. But the two had lighter moments during the Tuesday, January 19 meeting as well, like when they laughed at memes inspired by the incident. During the Miss Universe 2015 cornation night, Steve accidentally announced that Ariadna was the winner instead of Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. “Within minutes of my mistake during the pageant, the internet was on fire with memes and videos,” explained Steve during the “Miss Universe: The Truth” episode on The Steve Harvey Show.

Ariadna first brought up the Justin Bieber meme, where Steve’s face is set into Justin’s “Sorry” music video.

 

Following the pageant, Justin himself posted a photo of Steve’s face set on Justin’s body on social media. The photo is captioned with the song’s lyrics, “Is it too late now to say sorry?” (READ: Justin Bieber, Tyra Banks react to Miss Universe 2015 mix-up, Pia’s win)

Next up was Ariadna’s favorite meme – the Oprah one. “Oprah, I love you!” she cried as the meme came up on screen.

Miss USA Olivia Jordan, who won second runner-up, posted the meme on social media herself, in a series of posts reacting to the incident. (READ: Miss Universe USA 2015: Both women were worthy)



The two had a look at the Kermit the Frog meme, and one in Spanish, which Ariadna translated to say, “Happy Mother’s Day! Oh sorry, Merry Christmas.”



Finally, the two looked at a photo Steve himself tweeted on Christmas Day – “Merry Easter, y’all!” he greeted his followers. As of writing, Steve’s tweet has more than 200,000 likes. (READ: Tongue-in-cheek, Miss Universe host says ‘Merry Easter’)
