IN PHOTOS: Miss Universe 2016 candidates explore Manila

MANILA, Philippines – Eleven candidates of Miss Universe, in the country for pre-pageant activities, toured Manila on Monday, December 12. 

The ladies were accompanied by Tourism secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo and officials of the Department of Tourism as they visited historic Intramuros. The ladies rode a kalesa and offered a wreath at the monument of national hero Jose Rizal.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach meanwhile visited Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Tagle in the morning. She and her pageant mentor Jonas Gaffud turned over the money raised from the A Royal Affair fashion show held last Friday, December 9.

Previously, the candidates traveled to Siargao, where they had a photo shoot and experienced the beach.
