Who is Gazini Christiana Ganados, Miss Universe Philippines 2019?
The Cebuana beauty is this year's Miss Universe Philippines

MANILA, Philippines – On the promise to promote her advocacy for women to “fight for our rights and for elderly care,” Talisay City’s Gazini Christiana Ganados was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2019 during the Binibining Pilipinas 2019 coronation night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The 23-year-old beauty queen will be representing the Philippines during the Miss Universe 2019 pageant later this year. She’s got huge high-heeled shoes to fill – her predecessor, after all, is no less than Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

But if interviews before the coronation night are indication, it seems like the Cebuana beauty will be taking all the pressure in stride.

“If you do not have anything good to say, then do not say anything,” she told Cebu entertainment press back in April 15, according to Cebu Daily News.

She takes this rule seriously – so much so that she makes it a point to remind her supporters not to bash other candidates. That she’s used to pressure and knows how to carry herself is no wonder – she is, after all, not a stranger to pageants.

The tourism associate graduate from the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R) was Miss Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc 2016 and Miss Bohol 2017 first runner-up, said Cebu Daily News. She also joined Miss World Philippines in 2014.

Gazini lists herself as a model on her Instagram page under Origin Model Management. She’s also an elderly care advocate – which she made sure to mention in the Q&A during the Binibining Pilipinas 2019 coronation night.

A quick glance at her Instagram feed shows that Gazini is just like any young woman in her early 20s – she enjoys travelling, hanging out with friends, going to the gym, and taking an awesome OOTD or two. But it’s one of her story highlights that stand out – a collection of Instagram stories of her adorable pet Pug (the highlight is aptly called “puglife”).

She had earlier told Cebu media that while she was aiming for the Miss Universe Philippines 2019 crown, “any crown is a blessing.” And what a blessing it’s been for Gazini. – Rappler.com
