MANILA, Philippines – In line with the Miss Philippines Earth 2013 pageant’s water conservation theme, this  19-year-old Pharmacy student says, “Encourage communities to have water treatment facilities so waste water can be reused.”

Describe your childhood/growing up years (8-13 years old):

I grew up with my grandmother who has a beautiful garden. She uses an artesian well to water the plants. I also enjoy caring for her plants when she’s not around.

Most memorable moment:

My most memorable moment was when I was called to qualify for the final screening of Miss Philippines Earth 2013.

What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?

Sustainable management of fresh water resources. Water is part of our daily existence. Without it, we will die. That’s why there is a need to sustain fresh water resources.
