MANILA, Philippines – Have you ever created a video response to a YouTube video? If you haven’t, or if you’re not quite sure what a video response on YouTube is, you won’t have to worry about it. YouTube will lose the ability to create video responses by September 12.

According to the YouTube Team, video responses reportedly got only 4 users to click on a response out of every 1 million users who saw the video response come up. That click-through rate of 0.0004% wasn’t cutting it for the team, so they’re refocusing their efforts to enable users to share video links in comments with the hope of driving more engagement from users.

The new system of allowing video links to go into comments seems interesting, and might serve as a worthwhile replacement to video responses. In the meantime, we suggest you get used to the idea of a world without video responses on YouTube while waiting for the video links to arrive. – Rappler.com
